KJZZ Broadcasts Utah High School Basketball Championships March 7-8

Live Coverage of Semifinals and Finals of 4A and 5A Divisions

SALT LAKE CITY (March 3, 2014) – KJZZ Television in conjunction with the Utah High School Activities Association will broadcast six high school basketball games on March 7-8 from the Jon M. Huntsman Center on the campus of the University of Utah, culminating in the crowning of the 4A and 5A boys high school state champions.

KJZZ will provide live television coverage of the semifinals and finals of the 4A and 5A boys championships. The 4A semifinals on March 7 are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. followed by the 5A semifinals at 5:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The 4A state championship game on March 8 is at 1:30 p.m. and the 5A title game is at 4 p.m.

The announcers for Friday’s quadruple-header and Saturday’s doubleheader are from the Utah Jazz broadcast team with Steve Brown, Thurl Bailey, Britton Johnsen and Tony Parks.

KJZZ broadcasts on channel 14 over the air and for Dish and DirecTV subscribers and on Comcast channels 3 (SD) and 657 (HD). The station provides over-the-air coverage throughout Utah, southwestern Wyoming, southeastern Idaho, southern and eastern Nevada, southwestern Colorado and northern Arizona.

KJZZ is the broadcaster of the Utah high school 4A and 5A basketball championships as well as 3A, 4A and 5A football playoffs and state championships, plus the high school football ‘Game of the Week.’
