(KUTV) A driver is dead after a milk tanker overturned in Logan Canyon, near Logan, Utah.

The Utah Highway Patrol said the tanker was heading north on U.S. 89 between Ricks Spring and the Tony Grove turnoff when it took a curve too fast and ran off the road to the left.

The truck, carrying a load of cream, overturned off the shoulder and crushed the cab. The driver was identified by authorities as Bruce R. Giddings, 60, of Logan. Giddings was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash but was pinned in his vehicle, UHP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

UHP said the crash happened around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday.
