(KUTV) — The man wanted for murder and spotted in Salt Lake City was found and apprehended Thursday night.
The U.S. Marshals Service and the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team took Charles Bowman into custody at a campground on the east side of Bear Lake according to a tweet.
A Division of Natural Resources agent spotted Bowman near his car. Bowman was taken into custody without incident.
Earlier in the day the U.S. Marshals Service issued new photos of Bowman and said he had been spotting in Salt Lake City on July 7 and July 9.
He is wanted in the investigation into the murder of his wife in Mississippi.
Earlier in the day Marshals said Bowman, 61, was seen on surveillance video July 7 and July 9. He was said to be driving a 2006 Nissan Maxima with a handicap Mississippi place D2745. Marshals believe he is armed and dangerous and is using hotels in and around Salt Lake, as well as campgrounds within an hour's drive of Salt Lake City.
