(KUTV) - A man riding a horse on a California freeway has been arrested for DUI, according to CBS News.

It happened Saturday on California State Route 91 in the Long Beach area Saturday night.

29-year-old Luis Perez of Placentia had a blood alcohol content level more than twice the legal limit, according to California Highway Patrol.

Police say Perez failed a field sobriety test and was arrested and booked into jail on a $50,000 bail.

"We get a chuckle out of the interesting situations we encounter from time to time, but one thing the CHP does not do is 'horse' around with DUI," the CHP said on its Twitter account.
