Salt Lake Bees Announce TV, Radio Schedule
SALT LAKE CITY (March 28, 2014) – The Salt Lake Bees will have five televised games on KJZZ 14 during the 2014 season and all 144 regular-season games will be carried on the radio home of the Bees – The Zone Sports Network.
The Bees will have one televised home game each month during the regular season on KJZZ 14 starting with an opening weekend showdown against the Sacramento River Cats on Saturday, April 5.
Other televised games include: May 3 vs. Reno Aces, June 7 vs. Sacramento, July 19 vs. Las Vegas 51s and Aug. 20 vs. Round Rock Express. For the second consecutive year all games broadcast by KJZZ will be in high definition (HD) to bring the beauty of Smith’s Ballpark to homes across the state.
The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM) is the exclusive radio home of the Bees for the third consecutive season. The Bees will also simulcast select games on 97.5 FM.
As the Bees celebrate their 20th anniversary in Salt Lake, so too does veteran broadcaster Steve Klauke, “the voice” of the Salt Lake Bees on the radio since the inaugural season in 1994. Klauke will be heard on the radio airwaves all season and will be at the microphone for all five televised games this season. Stepping in for Klauke on the radio during televised games will be Tony Parks, co-host of the Jake & Tony Show on 1280 The Zone and the Bees on-field emcee.
The Bees open the 2014 season at Smith’s Ballpark on Thursday, April 3 against Sacramento at 6:35 p.m. at Smith’s Ballpark. The opener begins an eight-game homestand against Sacramento and Fresno through April 10. All games during the opening homestand begin at 6:35.
