(KUTV) Friday was media day for the BYU football team. The school announced it will retire the No. 6 jersey, which was worn by Marc Wilson, Robbie Bosco and Luke Staley. The ceremony will take place on September 16th when BYU hosts Wisconsin. BYU will continue its television agreement with ESPN and there are plans to honor former BYU football coach LaVell Edwards. As for the 2017 BYU Cougars? Optimism and experience sum up the feeling in Provo. Kalani Sitaki is entering his second season as the Cougars head coach after guiding the team to a 9-4 record and a win over Wyoming in the Poinsettia Bowl.
