During the 1980s and 1990s, pretty much every office in America had at least one desk with a calendar showing off a new "The Far Side" comic every day.

"The Far Side" was retired by Larson on January 1, 1995, after a 15-year run. The website for "The Far Side" had sitten dormant since the last update in 2000, until this week when it got a major update, according to Nerdist.

The website now shows a man with a blow torch thawing out several characters, and cows commonly used by Larson in his comics.

The site has this mysterious description:

Uncommon, unreal, and (soon-to-be) unfrozen. A new online era of The Far Side is coming!

No date was provided for when the "new online era" of "The Far Side" will be coming.
