Utah's capital of Salt Lake City was founded by Brigham Young on July 24, 1847, and ever since, the city has continued to change, grow, and develop.

2News has scoured state archives to bring you some of the best photos showing off Salt Lake City from as early as 1850 all the way to some aerial shots from 1964.

I even included a few photos of my great-grandfather Edward Lee (E.L.) Horr, born in 1867, who opened a bicycle shop on State Street in Murray in 1902.
