Police confirmed three people were found dead in a home after a SWAT standoff in Millcreek.

The incident began on Sept. 3 at 3900 South and Highland Drive after reports of gunfire. Officials said someone from inside the home ran to a nearby police precinct and said someone had shot and killed people inside the home.

Officers closed the area and evacuated an elderly woman from the home while there was active gunfire.

A SWAT team and negotiators were on the scene to assist.

Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said they sent drones into the home on Saturday and found three people deceased, including who they believe was the alleged shooter. Police said they are all relatives who lived in Millcreek.

Bonne Brady, 54, and Timothy LeGrande, 53, were two identified victims. Police said Jacob LeGrande, 30, was the suspect and third person found dead at the scene.

Police said they think the family was doing an intervention about drug addiction or mental health before shots were fired.

Rivera said detectives are working to determine what occurred in the home through the night.
