A Los Angeles model decided to raise money for the deadly and devastating brush fires in Australia in an unusual way: by sending nude photos of herself to donors, according to the New Zealand Herald.

Kaylen Ward -- who goes by "the naked philanthropist" on social media -- promised to send a nude photo to everyone who donated at least $10 to relief efforts to fight the fires.

She required proof, saying on Twitter:

Every $10 you donate = one nude picture from me to your DM. You must send me confirmation that you donated.

The 20-year-old model says she's raised an estimated $700,000 for numerous charities to which she asked her donors to send money.

WARNING: Ward's Twitter account features explicit photos.

That list includes:

  • NSW Rural Fire Service
  • Victorian Country Fire Service
  • Red Cross
  • Koala hospitals across Australia

Dozens of brush fires are ravaging across the entire continent of Australia -- which is roughly the size of the contiguous 48 United States.

Roughly a half-billion animals are believed to have been killed.

Ward says:

It's devastating and any normal person would be concerned and want to help.

Ward's Instagram account was suspended for violating community guidelines, so she communicates via Twitter.

Ward says the response has been mixed -- saying her family disowned her because of the tweet:

My IG [Instagram] got deleted, my family disowned me, and the guy I like won't talk to me all because of that tweet. But f**k it, save the koalas.

But there were many others who applauded Ward for her efforts. One person said she was doing more for Australia than the country's own prime minister.

Another said:

Not all heroes wear capes, some wear nothing at all.
