(UPDATE 10:22 a.m.) -- Police have confirmed to local news sources that there was an active shooter situation at Rigby Middle School in Rigby, Idaho Thursday morning.
Two students and one adult, who works as a custodian, were injured, but their injuries are not life-threatening.
Jefferson School District Superintendent Chad Martin said:
Today we had the worst nightmare a school district could encounter. We had a school shooting here at Rigby Middle School,. What we know so far is the shooter has been apprehended. There is no further threat to the students."

(KUTV) -- There are at least three confirmed victims, and a suspect is in custody after an 'incident' at Rigby Middle School In Rigby, Idaho, according to local news.
Police are searching the school at 290 North 3800 East as their investigation launches to find out exactly what happened.
Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon confirmed to East Idaho News that three people were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Their conditions are not currently known, but their parents have been notified.
Students were evacuated to Rigby High School where their parents were told to pick them up.
Students who are not picked up will be bussed home.
