Earlier today, FanX Salt Lake, the city's comic convention, held a press conference where the newest lineup of guests was announced.

FanX, known for bringing Marvel, DC, Disney, Star Wars and many other series to life in the Salt Lake Valley, was canceled last year because of the pandemic. Officials for the event confirmed the convention will be happening in 2021.

Big names from hit TV shows and productions like "Supernatural" and "Cobra Kai" are coming to Salt Palace in Downtown Salt Lake City this September.

If you purchased a ticket to 2020's canceled show, officials said the pre-purchased tickets can be used to attend this year.

Planning teams expect more than 70 thousand visitors will be in attendance. Dan Farr, a member of the FanX planning team, said he thinks by the time September rolls around things will be looking a lot more normal here in Utah.

Like the Gov has said, he's anticipating the 4th of July as things get back to normal. And you know, we're a month and a half after that time, so I think we're going to be good," Farr said.

Farr noted that more plans are in the works to host even more A-list actors and actresses.

FanX confirmed the convention will be following and local regulations.

Ten new celebrities including Peyton List, Jacob Bertrans, Amanda Tapping, Chris Eccleston, David Haydn-Jones, Richard Speight Jr., Misha Collins, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, William Daniels, Adam Savage, Ashley Eckstein, Keegan Connor Tracy and Bret Iwan were announced as guests for FanX 2021.
