(KUTV) — Unifed Police are investigating a shooting that took place at a hotel in Taylorsville near 5600 S. and Redwood Road early Tuesday morning.
Officials say they were called to a nearby Chevron gas station around 5:30 a.m. where the store clerk told them about a shooting victim.
The man, in his 30’s, has a gun-shot wound to his hand. He is in stable condition, according to police.
Authorities told 2News they found a blood-trail leading from the gas station to Crossland Economy Studios, an extended-stay hotel.
“I heard one pop and then screeching tires,” said a hotel resident who wanted to remain anonymous.
Police are waiting to question the man and woman who are registered to the hotel room.
Investigations are on-going.
Officials believe this is an isolated incident, and the public is not at risk.
