Utahns are being warned to check all dollar bills that are handed to them.

The Price City Police Department has received several reports of counterfeit currency in the area.

Counterfeit cash of $1, $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills were given to local businesses.

Police say the fake money is easily identifiable because of certain security indicators, which are featured in the department's Facebook post:

"Please take a moment to view the attached images with information regarding the security measures put in place by the U.S. Secret Service on all U.S. Currency," the social media post stated.

Anyone with suspicions or concerns is asked to contact the Price City Police Department at 435-536-3190, Price Public Safety Dispatch at 435-637-0890 or your local law enforcement agency.

If you have information regarding the person, or persons, responsible for passing out the counterfeit bills in Price, please contact police at 435-536-3190.
