Round Peak Fire sparked close to homes in Springville burns 200 acres

UPDATE: (July 16, 11:54 a.m.) -- The Round Peak Fire has burned 200 acres and is zero percent contained.

A new brush fire is burning close to structures in Utah County.

The Round Peak Fire sparked just east of Springville, approximately a half-mile away from houses, according to Utah Fire Info.

It's burned an estimated 70 to 100 acres of brush and grass since it was reported Monday night.

Fire officials believe the Round Peak Fire may be human-caused.

Approximately 40 firefighters from multiple agencies are working to tame the flames, according to Utah Fire Info.

More crew members will be arriving Tuesday morning to assist with the efforts.
