(KUTV) -- He may be as "charming as an eel" but he’s also plush toy you can't help but love this holiday season - except he's no longer available.
Build-A-Bear Workshop announced on Facebook that it was offering a brand-new Grinch toy last month in conjunction with The Grinch movie release by Illumination, Nov. 9.
The social media post stated:
Who were you expecting? Santa Claus? Our NEW Grinch furry friend has arrived in the Workshop direct from Whoville! Make fun holiday memories with your own Grinch and add fun extras like new outfits and a pre-stuffed Young Grinch!
The Grinch plush retailed for $25.50, while the pre-stuffed Young Grinch counterpart cost half as much at $12.50. However, a senior public relations specialist from Build-A-Bear Workshop said the toys are now sold out.
Maria Lemakis stated in an email to 2News:
There are a few clothing items & accessories from the collection that are still available at buildabear.com
2News called the Build-A-Bear Workshop at Fashion Place Mall in Salt Lake City and was told the Grinch plush has been popular but the outlet has a few left in the store.

The Grinch is a character in the 1957 storybook by Dr. Suess, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
The story was adapted in 1966 into an animated TV special. It was also adapted into a Christmas fantasy comedy film directed by Ron Howard and written by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman in 2000.
The full-length feature film starred Jim Carrey as the Grinch - a bright green hairy, pot-bellied creature with a cat-like face and cynical personality who loathes the Christmas season.
