doTERRA is the new stage-presenting sponsor of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling race beginning in 2020.
The global network marketing company has teamed up with Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment (LHMSE) with a partnership that emphasizes community-based events and supports women’s empowerment activities.
Chris Baum, executive vice president for LHMSE, said in a prepared statement:
Our partnership with doTERRA brings out the best in both organizations. doTERRA, a Utah-based organization, has done such great work in our state and beyond, and this relationship focused on community engagement and empowerment will collectively help us reach more people and positively influence their lives.
In its multi-year relationship across LHMSE properties, doTERRA sponsorship supports the Tour of Utah on Aug. 3-9, which also has been elevated to a UCI ProSeries event. The tour is prominently placed as the only stage race in North America on the 54-race international road calendar.
According to a press release, doTERRA and LHMSE also will produce a digital content series to assist local cyclists training for the Ultimate Challenge, a one-day cycling adventure for amateurs that follows a Tour of Utah stage. Additionally, the pair will collaborate to bring the Summer of Cycling, a discounted series of public cycling rides along the Wasatch Front, to multiple communities throughout northern Utah.
Kirk Jowers, executive vice president for doTERRA, stated in a news release:
We value being associated with organizations that share a passion for lifting people and their community up and a commitment to excellence; something we see every time the Jazz take the floor. While we are big fans of the Jazz, this partnership is about strengthening our community. By bringing more attention to activities like the Tour of Utah, Summer of Cycling and Utah Jazz community events, we hope to showcase the best of Utah.
doTERRA is also sponsoring the Utah Jazz’s annual spring seminar designed for female high school students. Entering its third year, the summit aims to inspire and instruct the next generation of female leaders with day-long programming that includes a keynote address and numerous breakout sessions, a news release said.
doTERRA and the Jazz are working together to produce digital content series, including videos that focus on how athletes may incorporate doTERRA products into their exercise regimens.
