2News Mary Nickles took to social media to show people how to make homemade masks with a video demonstration.
Many Utahns are now wearing masks when venturing out after a new recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"The CDC is recommending that Americans wear a basic cloth or fabric mask,” said President Trump during Friday's White House Coronavirus Task Force Briefing.
With masks being in short supply at retail outlets, Nickles demonstrated how to make one at home out of a t-shirt.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1 t-shirt (a shirt that fits you will most likely make a mask that fits you)
Scissors (or some other way to cut fabric)
Needle and thread for any alterations you see as needed (a stapler will work in a pinch)
