Jeff Goldblum announced as latest guest for FanX in Salt Lake City

(KUTV) -- Jeff Goldblum will make an appearance at FanX in Salt Lake on September 7.

Goldblum is best known for his roles in the Jurassic Park series, Independence Day, Thor: Ragnarok, The Big Chill, The Fly and more.

This announcement comes after Ben Affleck entered rehab last week, resulting in him canceling an appearance at the convention.

FanX made the announcement with the following statement:

Unfortunately Ben Affleck will not be able to attend our event this year. Even though it is disappointing that he can’t join us we hope we all can all join together in wishing him health, success, and the best for him and his family. We look forward to another opportunity to meet him in the future.

In addition to Goldblum, a number of other big name guests and fan favorites will attend FanX, including: Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Brandon Routh, Tom Hopper, Ian McDiarmid, Rainn Wilson, Dick Van Dyke, David Tennant, Evangeline Lilly, Karl Urban , Lucy Lawless, Renee O’Connor, Tim Curry, Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Chuck Norris, Brent Spiner, Jennifer Morrison, Tricia Helfer, Kevin Sorbo, Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson, Paul Reubens, Gaten Matarazzo, Amy Jo Johnson, Barry Bostwick, John Wesley Shipp, Vic Mignogna, Caity Lotz, Katee Sackhoff, Tom Payne, Austin Amelia, Steven Ogg, Lou Ferrigno, Meat Loaf, David Hayter, John DiMaggio, Femi Taylor, Jason David Frank and Mark Sheppard.
