Man wanted for Mississippi murder spotted twice on video in Salt Lake area

(KUTV) — A man wanted for murder in Mississippi is believed to be staying in and around Salt Lake City according to U.S. Marshals Service.

Charles Eugene Bowman, 61, was seen on surveillance video July 7 and July 9. He is said to be driving a 2006 Nissan Maxima with a handicap Mississippi place D2745. Marshals believe he is armed and dangerous and is using hotels in and around Salt Lake, as well as campgrounds within an hour's drive of Salt Lake City.

Only July 7 he was caught on video in the area of 3300 South and 300 West.

On July 9 he was captured on video, this time in downtown Salt Lake City but no specific address was provided.

He was last seen wearing a black U.S. Navy hat with yellow lettering, sunglasses and a blue polo shirt.

A reward of up to $5,000 may be offered for information that leads to the arrest of Bowman.

He is wanted for the death of his wife, whose remains were recently discovered on Bowman's property in Pearl River County, Mississippi.
