May 24 data: no new deaths, 132 more confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Utah Department of Health reported no new deaths on Sunday with 132 new positive cases in the state.

Total recorded cases: 8,392 cases (up 132 from Saturday, which is a daily rate increase of 1.6%, according to the health department)

Number of people tested: 194,443 (3,364 more than Saturday)

Hospitalizations: 688 (up 12 from Saturday) There are 96 positive COVID-19 cases currently hospitalized.

Deaths: 97 (up zero from Saturday)
