An open house of sorts was held Friday evening in North Salt Lake after the alleged sexual assault of a girl as young as eight years old.
The alleged sexual assault was reported to police on Monday night and is believed to have happened earlier in the day around 5 to 6 p.m.
Police wanted to be on hand at the Foxboro north clubhouse to answer any questions parents might have as details to date been few and far between.
The alleged assault is believed to have happened in a park in the Foxboro area, but police aren’t exactly sure which park it happened in.
What’s particularly harrowing about this incident is that the girl is believed to be between the ages of eight and 11, and the suspect is believed to be of a similar age.
Police say a medical professional has confirmed that the injuries inflicted on the young girl could have been from a boy of that age or older.
The victim, in this case, is understandably traumatized, police plan to speak with her again at a later stage. They are urging parents in the neighborhood not to allow their children to go to the park, any park, without supervision.
