A homeowner in West Jordan heard what he thought was a firework early Saturday morning -- turns out it was a gunshot.

The homeowner, who lives near 7800 Sunset Way, heard a firework-like sounds around 1:48 a.m. Saturday morning and thought that it was a "little late for fireworks."

That homeowner would later discover that someone fired a single shot into the home after finding a bullet hole in the house and fragments of bullet casing.

The shot was fire into the southeast side of the home.

Police are investigating, but they have no leads as to a motive or a suspect. They do believe, however, that the incident was isolated.
