A suspect accused of aggravated assault and barricading himself inside an RV in a Salt Lake City neighborhood is in custody.
Police said they received a call at 2:15 a.m. about an assault with a weapon. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled and barricaded himself inside his RV near 400 N. Pamela Way. It's believed he is armed with a weapon. Roads nearby are blocked off.
Negotiators and a social worker worked to get the suspect to surrender, police said. He was arrested at approximately at 9 a.m.
Law enforcement say there is no threat to the public.
The suspect's identity has not been released publicly and they are known to the victim.
Neighbors told 2News this is the second time in the past week police have been called to the area. Last time, there was a shooting. It's not related to the barricaded suspect, police said.
