'TGIF Bandit' accused of robbing several Salt Lake County banks

A man accused of robbing several banks in Salt Lake County is being sought by the FBI.

The alleged robber, named the "TGIF Bandit" by law enforcement, is believed to be connected to at least three bank robberies since December 2019.


  • Dec. 6, 2019: Cyprus Credit Union located inside the Walmart at 11328 South Jordan Gateway in South Jordan.
  • Jan. 3: America First Credit Union inside Dan's Market at 1360 S. Foothill Drive in Salt Lake City.
  • Feb. 7: US Bank inside Smith's Food and Drug at 4080 W. 9000 S. in West Jordan.

Each of the crimes occurred on a Friday, and the man presented a note threatening a weapon, according to the FBI.

The suspect is described as a white man with a slim build. He is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall.
