(KUTV) -- President Trump announced during a press conference Wednesday that Rep. Mia Love lost the midterm election race against Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams.

Trump called out several Republicans. He blamed Love's loss on her lack of love toward him, saying

"Mia Love gave me no love, and she lost. Sorry about that Mia."

However, the Lt. Governor's Office Election Division told 2News there are more votes to account for.

Results will be available the Friday after Election Day.

As of Wednesday morning, polls show McAdams leading the race 51.39 percent to 48.61 percent.

McAdam's campaign manager told 2News,

"I think it was a joke. We aren't commenting until alter today if at all. Sherrie Swensen will be uploading more vote totals at 3 p.m."

Love's campaign released the following statement:

"There are still tens of thousands of ballots still to be counted. Nothing has changed."
