Lil Nas X is now a Utah man and fan!
The "Old Town Road" rapper stopped by the University of Utah football facilities this week, according to an Instagram post by the team's account.
"#1 on the billboard charts and #1 in our hearts. Shoutout to @lilnasx for stopping by the facility tonight!"
In the comments, the team also asked if Lil Nas X would attend a football game this upcoming season. He has yet to respond to the comment.
Lil Nas X also posted about the experience.
His Instagram caption read "tryna get drafted" as he sported a University of Utah football jersey, shorts and headband.
The 20-year-old singer, rapper and songwriter was born in a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia in 1999.
He rose to international fame after collaborating with country star Bill Ray Cyrus on their hit single "Old Town Road." The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It became the longest-running hip hop song on the chart at 13 weeks. In July 2019, it remained at the top for 17 weeks. "Old Town Road" is the only song to do so since the chart started in 1958, according to Billboard.com.
