Utah National Guard conducts live-fire artillery exercises at Camp Williams

The Utah National Guard announced Wednesday that it is conducting three artillery live-fire exercises this month at Camp Williams beginning Thursday.

During the first exercise, soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 222nd Field Artillery Unit are conducting live-fire artillery certification on Friday and Saturday.

Additional dates of the exercises are:

  • April 4-7
  • April 11-14
  • April 23-25

Given the nature of these exercises, artillery fire will occur sporadically throughout the day, beginning at approximately 7 a.m. and ending approximately 7 p.m., a press release said.

Residents and businesses expected to be most affected by the exercises are residents of Bluffdale, Riverton, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs and Lehi.
