A woman says she was stopped dead in her tracks in Weber County — and had a gun pointed at her — for no apparent reason other than driving down the road.

Now she hopes someone out there can help find the men responsible.

Becky Taylor, who lives in Layton, had just left her mother's house in Washington Terrace on Sunday evening. She was driving down the road near the intersection of 500 West 4650 South when she says four men stepped into the street, blocking her path.

"I stopped the vehicle and the guy in the white hoodie raised his arms and pointed the gun at me," Taylor said. "I was probably 25 feet from them."

Her gut reaction was to reverse and get away.

"I thought I was dead. I literally thought they were going to shoot," Taylor said.

She put her car in reverse and sped back to her mother’s house.

Video from a surveillance camera at Taylor's mother's house captured the moment she pulled up and dashed inside.

"I was really shaken and screaming and ran into her house," she said.

Taylor reported the incident to Riverdale police and the Weber County Sheriff's Office. Thus far, the culprits haven’t been found.

They’re described as four men, all approximately six feet tall, who are possibly Hispanic or Latino. Three of them were wearing dark hoodies, one had a white one.

If you have information, you are asked to call the Weber County Sheriff’s Office at 801-659-8221.
