UPDATE: April 9, 7:44 a.m.) -- Morgaine Huey, 21, was arrested in connection to the stabbing that occurred at a Salt Lake City gas station on Monday night.
Court documents state the 21 year old saw her husband get into a fist fight with the victim. When it appeared that he'd lose, Huey reportedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.
The victim was transported to the hospital for surgery.
Huey was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on one count of aggravated assault, court documents state.
(Original story) -- Police in Salt Lake City detained a suspect and a witness to a stabbing at a gas station on Monday night.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with a puncture wound to his abdomen, and was in serious condition, police told 2News. The officer couldn't confirm what instrument was used in the stabbing.
Police were notified of the stabbing at 9:09 p.m. and responded to the call at 2280 S. Highland Drive.
The suspect and witness who are in custody were not immediately identified.
