Amid what is being called a "staggering" death toll from coronavirus in New York, the state's governor put out an urgent call for help last week.

Reserve medics at Hill Air Force Base are answering that call and shipping off to New York City on Sunday afternoon.

Medics from the Reserve 419th Fighter Wing were called up be an executive order from President Donald Trump on March 27.

The members of the 419th Fighter Wing are all medical professionals who work in the community as nurse practitioners or registered nurses.
