SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) -- Pizza Hut is testing out a plant-based topping served in a game-changing round box. Yes, you read that right, round!

Customers can enjoy the new Garden Specialty Pizza topped with plant-based "Incogmeato" along with the sustainable packaging at an exclusive location in Phoenix, Arizona. The chain says the topping is Italian sausage plus fresh onions, mushrooms and banana peppers.

"This revolutionary round box—the result of a two-year journey—is the most innovative packaging we've rolled out to date," said Nicolas Burquier, chief customer and operations officer, in a press release. "The round box was engineered to make our products taste even better—by delivering hotter, crispier pizzas. This box is a win, win—it will improve the pizza-eating experience for our customers and simplify the operating experience for our team members."

The round box, meanwhile, contains less overall packaging than a typical square box. It's compostable, plus it interlocks easily for smoother deliveries. What more could you really ask for?

If you happen to be in the neighborhood, you can stop by the Pizza Hut location at 3602 E. Thomas Road on Oct. 23 in Phoenix at 11 a.m. MT to try the limited-run pizza.
