Silver Alert for 69-year-old woman in Salt Lake City canceled (update)

A Silver Alert was issued by Utah authorities in Monday night seeking to locate 69-year-old Alice Elizabeth Woffard Black.

UPDATE (10:15 p.m. Monday) — Authorities have canceled the Silver Alert for Alice Black.

(Original report continues) — Black was last seen on Tuesday at 7:42 p.m. in the area of 550 W. 700 South in Salt Lake City, and lives in the Salt Lake area, according to the alert.

She has special needs and takes prescribed medication for schizophrenia, authorities stated.

Black is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. She is a white woman with brown hair and green eyes.

She was last known to be traveling in a taxi, Ute Cab #35, with an unknown license plate number. Authorities believe she might have been trying to travel to Georgia.
