(KUTV) - Overlooked by hometown schools, Weber State’s Harding feels motivated “to this day”
Weber State guard Jerrick Harding was Mr. Basketball in the state of Kansas coming out of high school, but did not receive any scholarship offers from Kansas school. Not even Wichita State, a 16 minute drive away from Wichita High School Southeast where Harding played, made an offer.
"It's just motivation for me still to this day," said Harding.
Since then, Harding has become one of the most prolific scorers in Weber State history and the school’s career leading scorer after a 44-point night against Sacramento State. The senior guard sat down with KUTV sports reporter Jake Edmonds to talk about his journey to Weber State and what it means to be at the top of the record books. Watch the full interview above.
