(KUTV) - Utah State guard Sam Merrill grew up an Aggie fan and while he kept an open mind during his recruitment, USU was always the frontrunner. When he arrived on campus as a freshman in 2016, his goal was to prove he could play at the collegiate level. The Bountiful native has not only done that. He’s become one of the most prolific scorers in school history. With 484 points and counting during his senior season, Merrill is one of four Aggies to pass the two thousand point mark in a career, joining Jaycee Carroll, Greg Grant, and Wayne Estes. Merrill went one-on-one with KUTV Sports reporter Jake Edmonds to talk about the milestone achievement. Watch the full video above.
