(KUTV) - Come the Fall, Beth Launiere will be entering her 30th season as the head volleyball coach at the University Of Utah. Over the years her teams have made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances including five in the last six seasons. Launiere was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when she was a Junior in high school and it is something she’s been dealing with ever since. Via her career path, she’s been given a vessel to help raise information and awareness about the disease.
Launiere will be an Honored Hero at the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Salt Lake City Steps Walk presented by Sinclair Oil on Saturday, June 15th at Sugarhouse Park. She joined Adam Mikulich on a Sunday edition of Talkin’ Sports to talk about the event, her distinguished career, and the state of Utah volleyball.
