Prep of the Week

(KUTV) - The 2018-19 school year has officially begun, but right under our noses, with or without coaches supervision area athletes have been working out in preparation for the upcoming sports seasons. Over at Corner Canyon high school, the Chargers Cross Country team braves the heat and the altitude of Utah gearing-up for the regional and invitational races to come. Trying to better their 3rd place finish at last year’s state meet, the girls team is led by Karli Branch, who won the individual 6A title in 2017. Karli’s success is a tribute to being not only talented, but also coachable and with a tremendous work ethic. In this week’s first installment of “Prep of the Week,” Adam Mikulich meets with Karli over at Corner Canyon to talk about life on the course, being a good teammate and friend, and defending her title in her Senior season.
