(KUTV) - Jerry Sloan’s career as the Head Coach of the Utah Jazz ended abruptly in 2011 when he announces an unforeseen retirement. A humble man, it then took another three years to retire his namesake in the rafters of then “Energy Solutions Arena” when Gail Miller made him an offer that he could not refuse. With Sloan’s recent passing the entire basketball world is weighing-in on a hall of fame career both on and off the court! KUTV’s Adam Mikulich was in attendance when the number “1223” was hoisted on “Jerry Sloan Night” in Salt Lake City, here’s a look back at a magical night for a historic franchise.
